Casting
We pour the body, bonnet and wedge in ductile iron, then check each casting for shrinkage and inclusions before it moves on.
A soft-seated wafer butterfly valve designed for shut-off and flow control in general water pipeline applications. The manual worm gear operator provides controlled opening and closing, while the compact wafer body installs between compatible pipeline flanges.
This soft-seated wafer butterfly valve is designed for shut-off and flow
control in general water pipeline applications. Its compact wafer body
installs between compatible pipeline flanges, reducing the installation
space required compared with a double-flanged valve.
The valve is operated through a manual worm gearbox and handwheel. The
gearbox provides controlled disc movement during opening and closing,
making the valve practical for pipe sizes where direct lever operation
would require greater operating force.
The ductile iron body provides the structural strength required for
general pipeline service. A soft seat forms the sealing surface around
the valve disc, while the worm gear operator allows the disc position to
be adjusted gradually. This configuration can be used for pipeline
isolation and controlled water flow where manual operation is required.
| Specification | Product Details |

The required nominal diameter, pressure rating, flange standard, seat
material, disc material, shaft material and operating temperature should
be confirmed before quotation. These details determine whether the
selected valve is compatible with the pipeline and actual water-service
conditions.
Product appearance and component configuration may vary according to the
confirmed size and technical requirements.
Manufacturing
Six steps run inside our own plant, from the poured casting to the pressure test. The wedge vulcanising and the epoxy coating decide how long a valve lasts in a buried line, and we run both ourselves.
We pour the body, bonnet and wedge in ductile iron, then check each casting for shrinkage and inclusions before it moves on.
We machine the flange faces, the bore and the stem seat on CNC centres, then verify the face to face length against the drawing.
We bond EPDM onto the ductile iron wedge and vulcanise it as one piece, so no iron is left in contact with the medium.
We fit the stem, the wedge nut and the O-ring stack, then set and record the closing torque on every valve.
We apply fusion bonded epoxy inside and out by electrostatic spray, and measure the film thickness on every body.
We test the shell at 1.5 times the rating and the seat at 1.1 times, to EN 12266 and API 598.
